Tough Times for Citroën in India
Citroën, a popular car brand from France, is facing some challenges in India. In March 2024, they sold 1006 cars of different models like C5 Aircross, C3, eC3, and C3 Aircross. Even though their overall sales have dropped, their electric cars are doing quite well.

The eC3: Citroën’s Electric Star
The eC3 is an electric car by Citroën that is getting a lot of attention. Last month, they sold 530 eC3 cars, making it the most popular electric car from Citroën. People seem to like its design and modern features.
Features of the eC3
The eC3 looks similar to its regular version but has some cool electric features. Inside, it has a big 10.2-inch screen that works with both Apple and Android phones. It also has a digital display for the speed and other important information. The seats inside are comfortable and come in different colors.
Under the hood, the eC3 has a battery that can store a lot of energy. It can produce 56 horsepower and has a torque of 143Nm. This electric car has only one gear for moving forward and can go in two modes: Standard and Eco. Citroën says that the eC3 can travel up to 320km on a single charge, which is quite impressive.
What’s New with the C3?
The regular C3 car has also got some upgrades. It now comes with features like ESP for better stability, hill-hold to help on slopes, and TPMS to monitor tire pressure. Other features include fancy 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps in the front, and electrically adjustable side mirrors.
Inside the car, you’ll find a camera to help with parking and an auto-dimming rearview mirror for better visibility at night. The C3 also has a special app called My Citroën Connect that offers 35 different features to connect with the car.

In March, the C3 was the 16th best-selling hatchback, and the eC3 was the 15th, showing that people are really liking these cars.
